What Is the Best Country in the World?

 In the eight years the ranking has existed, this is the sixth time, including last year, that a Central European country has secured the top spot.

"Switzerland is a perennial favorite and the winner of this particular ranking," Wharton marketing professor David Reibstein, who helped create the ranking, told Wharton Business Daily.

The 2023 list measures the recognition of 87 countries selected for being the largest contributors to global GDP.

More than 17,000 people around the world were asked to rate countries on 73 characteristics, ranging from political stability to racial equality to health consciousness.

One third of the survey participants were business leaders.

One-third were university-educated and middle-class or above.

and one-third came from the general population.

This list is not just interesting trivia, but is based on scientific data analysis, making it a kind of competition for many countries.

Reibstein said he often receives calls from national representatives asking what their countries can do to improve their overall rankings.

"These are his three major components of a country's GDP, and these components indicate people's willingness to visit that country and do business with that country.
